Vintage pattern generosity
It was such a lovely surprise to receive another package in the mail from generous Floss of Another Day in Paradise. This one contained this gorgeous vintage fabric, lace collar and buttons. These colours will really suit Stella’s colouring.
And these stunning vintage patterns for Miss Stella as well!
Oh, look at that lovely Paragon pattern – I think it is the oldest pattern I have! So sweet! And the illustrations on the Butterick one are gorgeous. But that’s not all!
All just perfect for little girls! The Simplicity 8430 pattern was included for Miss Clare so she wouldn’t feel left out. Floss, you think of everything! Thank you so, so much. I can’t wait to make a start on these patterns.
Oh, you lucky thing! I love old patterns – the pictures on the front always make me smile. It’s one of the (many) reasons I read A Dress A Day.
Butterick 5219 is GORGEOUS! You need to make that one pronto, and I will die of the cuteness I’m sure!
I love that paragon pattern. I would love to dress some little dollies like that.!
Wow! I love that match -lucky you- and these patterns are so cute.
Wow, love the fabric & the patterns too! I have the frock coat one myself, but I think the one for Clare is my fav.
go figure, the swing coats and tops are THE big fashion now and the yoked tops. I sure didnt sew enough for my DD. sigh…..guess I will WAIT for grandchildren.:) Makes me want to go to my mom’s (she saved everything) and dig thru her pattern drawer and her scaps boxes!
will be checking back to see the results. can’t wait!

It’s just living vicariously, you know. I miss my daughter being that small and I miss sewing cute little pinafores for her so I’m enjoying the pleasure of somone else doing it. I loved that little Paragon pattern, just the sweetest outfit. Enjoy your creating!
I made the Simp 6672 dress when it was new- I was a jr. in high school and that was my dress for a banquet- I made it in a lavendar crepe but the lining in cotton- my teacher never taught us about linings- it didn’t hang right but did turn out well besides that. that was 1970.
