Block swap part 3
Sheridan keeps on sending me fabrics for Chaletgirl’s Block Swap, and I just can’t bear to let them sit on my cutting table for too long. Here are the blocks I’ve made for mailout 3. Firstly, for Helen:

The pink feature fabric was beautiful – it coordinated with so many other fabrics in my stash it became difficult to narrow it down to just four. Helen is an excellent quilter, so I hope that my contrast fabric choices will meet with her approval! And for Louise:

Although I found the feature fabric a bit difficult at first, eventually I was able to think outside the square a little and come up with a green theme that seemed to work well. I think that my favourite is this one:

Maybe it’s something to do with the print consisting of cakes…

I must be into wonky circles, because my favourites are the Oh My! Mingle green circles on the lower right and the Alexander Henry bauble ovals in the first picture upper right.
I do think I should get some of that colourway of Oh My! before it runs out!
Amy
ooh I like the cakey one as well.
Awwwwwww, my blocks look stunning! What an excellent job! I can’t wait to fondle them in….. when do we get them? November? LOL My mailout #3 is cut ready to sew, must get to it tomorrow.
Beautiful blocks, nicely done.
Hey! You say that like it’s a bad thing!
Great job! I love seeing your combinations!
I agree the cake print is lovely. Maybe there is a tea pot print out there which would co-ordinate and then you could have an afternoon tea square? 🙂
