home, sweet home skirt

I’ve been wearing this skirt for over a year now.  Not non-stop, obviously, but it’s been worn often.  It’s a wrap skirt from You Sew, Girl! with a feature panel from Aunty Cookie (this particular design is practically vintage by now according to Kirsty but you can find it in other colourways here).

If only I’d taken a photo of the closure – I used two brass O-rings on this skirt and they look terrific. The red fabric is a stretch something – possibly gabardine – from Spotty.

Boy, the more I look at photos of myself at the moment the more I realise how overdue I am for a good hair cut and colour!  I love Nikki’s wrap skirt pattern – I made two and wore both heaps over the past year.  I love the fact that they are seamless and easily customised to my shape.  I even made some for the girls – I must find a photo.  Appropriately, I wore this skirt to Nikki’s book launch last weekend.
