home, sweet home skirt
I’ve been wearing this skirt for over a year now. Not non-stop, obviously, but it’s been worn often. It’s a wrap skirt from You Sew, Girl! with a feature panel from Aunty Cookie (this particular design is practically vintage by now according to Kirsty but you can find it in other colourways here).
If only I’d taken a photo of the closure – I used two brass O-rings on this skirt and they look terrific. The red fabric is a stretch something – possibly gabardine – from Spotty.
Boy, the more I look at photos of myself at the moment the more I realise how overdue I am for a good hair cut and colour! I love Nikki’s wrap skirt pattern – I made two and wore both heaps over the past year. I love the fact that they are seamless and easily customised to my shape. I even made some for the girls – I must find a photo. Appropriately, I wore this skirt to Nikki’s book launch last weekend.

I’m going to imagine you really have worn this for a year non-stop. 😉
I reckon the fact that my Mr complimented you on your skirt, on the day, SAYS IT ALL!
Love, love, love it! Great color. ~Kelly

That pattern is on my list to make from Nikki’s book – just need o find the right fabric!! Love the feature panel on yours.
LOVE it Lars, I’m a big fan of “the cookie” and it just looks so comfy. I’m going to have to make one!
I also love your long red boots.
Very nice I like the colours in this outfit as well.
(Love your blog AND what you sew btw) I just want to make a suggestion on the photo taking. To get a better view on photos back up and zoom in. This will help avoid barrel distortion. To get an even top to bottom view have the person taking the photo squat down so that their head is no higher than your chest when they shoot. This will make your top and bottom halves appear more straight on too and I think show off pieces like this better.
Oh my gosh! The bird print fabric is so gorgeous, I love it so much. The whole skirt looks great, but the bird print is just fabulous.
