Getting the blocks together
I’ve been trying to figure out how best to join the blocks I’ve received from Around the Block. Playing with a mosaic maker has been a great way to assess layout combinations without having to physically rearrange the blocks on a bed or floor.
This won’t be the final layout, but for the first time I can get an idea of how this quilt may end up. I will probably sash between each block, but still haven’t decided on what colour or width sashing. I have been considering sewing some pinwheel cornerstones, but that might be a bit too much with everything else that is going on in this quilt. Suggestions welcomed – I won’t be assembling it in a hurry (too many other jobs ahead of it on my list).
I have no suggestions for finishing it off but just wanted to say that your quilt is looking stunning.
I can’t wait until my month!
Wow, lots of possibilities with the colour of your sashing. Blue, burnt red, dark brown. Gorgeous colours. Can’t wait to see it finished.
I’m going to be boring and suggest white. It would make all the blocks pop right out and frame them beautifully!
Oh WOW! Looks fnatastic!
