You knew it wouldn’t be the last time you saw New Look 6690!  Here it is again, this time for Clare to give to her young second cousin Zoe at Christmas.

The main fabric is a cotton woven that contains a little bit of stretch, bought from Spotlight a very long time ago (I made a maternity skirt from it when I was pregnant with Clare). What a great colour combination! The ruffle and facing are from Robert Kaufman’s Mingle range.

Thanks so much to everyone for the supportive and empathetic comments on this post.  I was really touched.  Time for me to develop a little more resilience so I can help my kids to do the same – and to remember that my insecurities are mine and not my daughter’s.  Lots of very wise words from many of you – thanks.
