Earlier this week I completed my practice blocks for October’s Around the Block quilting bee.
We were asked to do improvisational piecing to make log cabin-esque blocks where all the logs were parallel and perpendicular – no wonkiness this time around. It was fun.
I enjoyed playing around with some Kaffe strips and am looking forward to making a start on the real thing. Louise has sent such gorgeous fabrics!
As always, I have a multitude of crafty projects on my to-do list at the moment. I need to take some pressure off myself. I’ve just stared reality in the face (and the mirror) and joined a gym, so that will no doubt impact on my craft output over the next few months. It is time to get my body into shape and find some strength, flexibility and spark once again. Wish me luck – I loathe exercise!
