Incomplete
Lots of things are incomplete. The ironing, for example. Filing. Banking. The dishes. Book group books. And craft projects. At Brown Owls last week we each made a sausage dog CD holder – well, I started mine; most people finished theirs, with fantastic results. Another great project from the talented Kirsty.
Yes, I succumbed to the lure of the crochet hook instead!
These squares are to make a cot quilt for my cousin Sally’s new baby Mia.
When I laid them all out I wasn’t happy with the colour of the two blocks in the top right corner – I have since replaced them with fabrics that tone much better. Now I need to join the blocks together.
Clare enjoyed using up the left-over fabric paint and my stamp from a previous Brown Owls meeting. She is very proud of her t-shirt and has already worn it a number of times!
Now I’m off to write a proper list of all the incomplete craft projects that are lying around and a list of what is to come next (keeping in mind that Christmas is very, very soon)!
I’m glad you changed those two Lara . If you need some other colours just let me know – I still have some stashed away in the cupboards.
Yes I’m starting to feel the frosty breath of approachig christmas too. The trouble is I stil haven’t finished the Summer things I wanted to make nor scratched the surface of the Autumn ones. LOL
Good luck with the baby quilt
what a lovely little crafter you have on your hands. I must agree with your fabric decision too!
Oh, I have so many things that are incomplete. Wish you hadn’t reminded me!! LOL. I love the t-shirt she made. Just found your blog….enjoying it!
I never list my unfinished projects…it’s too scary!! Unfinished housework is screaming at me from all corners (and I’m just putting my fingers in my ears and singing “la-la-la-la…”). There are more important things than dishes and ironing.
Clare’s a great little crafter, isn’t she?
I’m glad you hooked. It was lovely & relaxed chatting on the couch.
we’ll be making baby quilts together, my cousin is also having a baby, but won’t let on about the sex, so I’m getting both ready as we speak. I really love the chenille, and it will make it a very cuddly blankie. agree on the 2 blocks and look forward to seeing your new choices.
clare looks so at home in your workroom, and she has clearly inhereted the crafting gene!
can’t wait to see what you have planned for xmas.
