This is … looking out my front door
Here it is – looking out my front door, past our sadly neglected front garden at the rental house across the road. There isn’t meant to be any grass in our front garden, by the way – it’s Dromana Sand. But those poor garden beds really do need a whole lot of tidying up and a whole lot of mulch! And the front porch could do with a sweep…
We are tossing up whether or not to keep our front lawn (weed) or not ie pebble it, mulch it, or sand it! I like your Dromana sand – does it work well? Does it travel onto paths, get stuck in shoes, keep down weeds, and all that? I should finally join in with ‘My Favourite’ and show you – tomorrow I will!
p.s. I like the tulipy retro pot. Is it as heavy as it looks?
Much like everyone else we are about to completely give up on grass and move into some more paving. We are sick of the dustbowl under the clothesline!
oooh… Annie and I heading to Stitches on friday ???????
I mowed our lawn yesterday – whether you would call stirring up a lot of dust mowing or not – At least I didn’t have to empty the catcher on the lawn mower many times!!
I want to invite you to a blog party! coordinated by 5 minutes for moms. come over to my party, leave a comment…everyone is all dress up! (you’ll see what I mean) .
then you will find a button to the party blog. It’s been alot of fun. and there’s lots of prizes, you’ll’ like those! meet new people!

I like the effect of your front garden 🙂 Mine’s full of native plants and doesn’t get watered, but so far it’s not dead yet …
Your front door looks lovely, has it got a lead light panel in the top of it?
Nice sunny sky, sand out front…it must be the beach! I like the look of it all, and no matter how much you sweep, there it comes back again.
Hey Lara, can you email me your address again please. I have a few things for Miss Stella and I was going to surprise you but I can’t find your address. Argh! Thanks 😉
What an interesting garden! Mine is such a hotchpotch of things that have travelled with me and what was already here when we moved in.
Great pic!!! What a fantastic idea to use sand in the walkways in your garden…
I just found your blog today from your coments on Craftapple’s blog. I’m glad I found you! I love seeing other people’s sewing projects. Your bags are so divine!

We’re planning something similar with our (very sad) front garden… someday. Must get onto that! Hey… your view looks kind of familiar. Do you live in a suburb quite similar sounding to the name of your blog? I used to live that way myself for several years, lovely area 🙂
