Little Hip Skirts – circle skirt
I stayed up late last night almost finishing this skirt. The hem was done and waist elastic inserted this morning.

Once again, it is the Little Hip Skirts pattern. This time I made the circle skirt, with belt loops and belt.

It twirls nicely – always an important feature for Miss Clare’s skirts! The fabric is from Spotlight – I think that it came from the home decorating section, it’s possibly sheeting – and is a nice summer weight cotton. The design of the skirt sits very nicely on Clare, who prefers to wear her skirts under her belly. It took about two hours to make, from cutting out to finished. This skirt will be included in the pattern review as well. Who knows, I may even get the other version of the skirt made before the review is due in!

Well done! That is so cute! I know what you mean about the twirl factor. My daughter still likes girlie clothes although the shops seem to think she ought to be wearing teenage angst clothes now she’s nearly 15. The colours are lovely too. Can’t wait to see what the other version will be like. You have such an eye for fabric.
You have done a fantastic job. you have inspired me to make some for my little one. I have also had a look at adult hip skirts and might have to make myself some too!!
what a treat for a little girl a pink twirly skirt… FANTASTIC….
luv Abby
Clare is so lucky to have a mum who can add twirly skirts to her wardrobe ! It looks great Lara
Love the skirt! You did a great job, and I love that fabric!!!!
How very sweet! The skirts look lovely! And Clare looks lovely in them!
This is the best skirt yet, I think! I may need to make this one for Hali! Hali’s mom wouldn’t mind having one like it either! I need to stop trying to make clothes, though =( I don’t have a serger/overlocker and clothes just aren’t the same without one.
