Sunday Stash #5
It’s fishy business today on Sunday Stash! But first, thanks again to Tamara for hosting. I found these two prints a week or so ago at GJ’s Discount Fabrics, selling for $8 per metre.
This one is by Heather Ross from the lightning bugs and other mysteries range for Free Spirit (it’s a few seasons old now). Not only is it amazingly cute (check out how those teeny tiny goldfish have names – like Robert, Malcolm, Andrew, Goldie, Whit and Swimmy) but it is incredibly soft! It has to be one of the softest, silkiest quilting cottons I’ve ever come across. I bought 1.5 metres and will possibly make something for Stella from it.
This one is from the BayShore Collection by Robert Kaufman. I’ve mentioned before that my brother is one of Australia’s top marlin fishermen – I’ll use this fabric to make something for him eventually (possibly as a bag lining).
The Goldfish print is super cute!!
Those goldfish are one of my favourite fabrics ever !!! I can’t believe it is still available.
Great prints – especially the the goldfish. Is one of the fish called Spooky?
My son has a pillow case made from the goldfish fabric. We named three of our goldfish after them (Bjorn, Malcolm and Swimmy!).
I bought some of the goldfish material in honour of my hubby Andrew! I picked up 1&1/2 metres of the gnomes, in the same range, for $5 at Textile Traders.
i used the heather ross fabric, along with coordinating spot and stripe to make a cot blanket for a friends bub. unfortunately paid full price. ouch!
gotta love the fish!
