This is … what I do with scraps of yarn
I turn them into a long chain of loops, as per Sarah London’s Loopy Loop instructions! What fun! It’s a real conversation starter too – I’ve been doing this at work, at book group, even at my sister-in-law’s 50th – and everyone wants to know what I’m doing. And what I’m going to do with the loopy chain once I finish. Any suggestions?
This one is still in progress, and isn’t as beautifully photographed or colour-coordinated as Sarah’s. But it is fun to do! Thanks again to Angela for hosting “this is”.
Wow! What a lot of chainy crochet goodness-not sure what to turn it into-will have to think about it!
I think the most obvious thing is Christmas tree garland. Though a chain like that might make a lovely accesory as well (ex: necklace or belt). Or, continuing with the Christmas theme, you could use it as the garland that one wraps around their staircase banister/spindles. Or drapes from the mantel over the fireplace.
That looks so neat! I have not suggestion as to what to do with it. 😀
wow! look how many you’re made! well done, they look gorgeous. You can turn these loopy loops into a blanket, I’ll do a post on it later in the week, easier to explain with photos! Also you could applique them to the bottom of a denim skirt etc!
Wasn’t so sure to begin with – but it would be a great material to use for knitted graffiti. And I do like Charli’s idea about a Christmas garland. Lovely colours!

I know what I would do with about 80cm—make a LANYARD for my keys. I wear my keys around my neck for work. It help me from losing them so often and when I do put them down I can find them easier!
Hia I’ve just caught up. love your quilt brilliant mix of texture and harmonious colour. Well done. I’m not fond or good at machine quilting. Just a couple of stitches to hold things in place or a runnign stitch by hand is about my limit. The sewing together however and seeing 2 fabrics against each other that I have put there to create something is the real buzz.
That is really cool, I can’t wait to see what you do with it. Ohhh… imagine how it would look felted and sewn into a scarf….
