Sue’s belated birthday bag
In the tradition of being significantly late in making gifts for significant birthdays ending in zero, I have just given my lovely friend Sue her 40th birthday bag – two days before her 41st.
The pattern is The Knotted Bag by Linda of Craft Apple. I have no decent excuse for being so late in making this – it’s such a straightforward bag to assemble and gives such a lovely result.
There’s a pocket on the inside, a magnetic snap closure, and an exterior pocket that also closes with a magnetic snap. This is the larger size – you can see my version of the smaller size here. The lining and exterior feature fabrics are from Anna Maria Horner’s Chocolate Lollipop line – I still love these fabrics, but I think I’ve run out completely now.
Sue was very gracious about the lateness of her gift, and happily she likes it!
It’s beautiful! I’ve been carrying my large one here on vacation. It’s been nice to fit all our purchases and necessities, etc. There aren’t many public trash cans – I have to carry it all home with us.
I like it!
I love how roomy the bag is too. It’s big enough to fit a little laptop/netbook and personal organiser. Love the colour you’ve chosen too. Pretty but neutral enough to match many outfits.
Very cute bag! Love the fabric combinations – better late then never!!
