Pinny for charity
Gypsy recently put out the call to sewing bloggers to make a reversible pinafore for Dago Dala Hera Orphanage in Kenya. I sewed one up when I was away at Sewjourn.
The pinny collection is being coordinated by Spotlight in Bayswater. The fabrics I used for the pinny I made were originally from Spotlight -nice karma!
I used a simple buttoned-shoulder top pattern that had been languishing in my stash. It was simple to reversify (oh look a new word) – I just made two dresses, eliminated facings, and bagged the two together through the hemline. Easy peasy! There’s still time to make one if you’re interested and able – details are here.
Very cute!!!
It’s lovely Lara, and even better in person! Thanks for helping out xx
what a lovely blog!!! congratulations! I loved this little dresses!!! Absolutly cuteness!!!
It’s great, I love the reversifiability! Hmm, I seemed to have the most trouble reversafying. I obviously also like to mangle that reverse word too!
both look amazing..
