Circling the A-line
You saw a sneak peek of this earlier in the week. Oh, how I love this skirt!
Gorgeous fabric from Tessuti, with what looks like string couched onto the fabric.
The pattern is Nikki’s A-line skirt once again, in the shorter length. I used an invisible zip at the centre back and top stitched the yoke. Bias binding was sewn to the wrong side of the fabric then turned to the right side as a contrast feature around the hem, leaving a little of the main fabric showing to look like piping.
The lighter bias reduces the shock of the contrast between the black of the skirt and the glare of my legs just a little!
Nice skirt! Interesting fabric. I’ve never seen anything like it before.
Super-stylish!!
Love the skirt, the fabric is fabulous!!!
What great fabric! I love it! The skirt patter is a good look for you as well!
I love your binding and particularly your description of its function – what a cack!
Of course, that couching is just wonderful too. Hmmm… must try that…
Gorgeous skirt. Now all we need is Nicole M to publish the pattern.
Lara we must go to the same solarium – We call it the moon-tan at our place.
That fabric is awesome. I hope Nikki releases that pattern.
