Another Jalie criss-cross top
When you’re on an almost good thing, why not stick to it? Here’s another go at the Jalie criss-cross top, this time in a cotton interlock remnant.
This time I cut the back and lower front pieces with alteration for my short torso, but I didn’t alter the front piece. I think it sits better. From the back there are still plenty of wrinkles.
After reading other experiences with this pattern on Pattern Review I get the impression that some of this is caused by the front overlay pulling against the side seams. I’ve decided that it is no worse than in plenty of the bought clothes that I own, so I’m not going to worry about it any more.
I quite like the flutter sleeve in this busy print – it’s comfy and flattering. I’ll definitely wear this one. Time to dig out a new pattern to play with now.
Nice work Lara!! love the sleeves too!
I love how your daughter is copying your poses – she’s going to grow up thinking it’s normal to take photos of your clothes! I often wonder what my neighbours think when I do outdoor photo shoots……
