Six inch squares
When you read that post title, are you expecting six inch quilt blocks, or six inch crochet blocks?
Yes, this time it’s crochet! I started these squares on New Year’s Eve, and only finished weaving in the ends yesterday. Some projects have little rest periods between the beginning and end! They are all from Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs by Edie Eckman (although this book is full of non-square motifs I did four squares….). Here they are in more detail.
I added a few rows to the outside of each square to get them up to six inches. They are all worked in 8 ply wool with a 4mm hook. These squares were a good learning experience as most involved some stitch combinations I have never used before. They’re all heading off in the mail today to become part of a charity blanket.
oooh I love the bobbly one !
Gorgeous!!!!
Beautiful!
Yes, yes I was expecting fabric (hangs head at being so predictable) but am loving all of that crochet. Especially the second pic down.
I love the flower one…. must get that book – it looks great.
I too love the bobble one. They are all great, really. lovely happy colors.
I really like the last daisy one. You have a way with putting colours together.
The flower block is just sweet! And the colour combo you’ve used works so well together. 🙂
I have this fabulous book! Your squares are so pretty. You have a great eye for color.
Hello,
I am from Holland, so my english is not too good.
They are lovely. Do you have the patterns of the one with bobbles en the one with the flower?
I would love to have them. Or is that to much to ask? 🙂
