Here it is again – another Vogue 1247 skirt!
I used the fabric scraps from Freya’s birthday dress, and since I had used the pattern before this skirt was practically free to make! Except for the thread and invisible zipper.
As before, I cut a straight size 12 but omitted the waistband completely and finished it with bias binding. Since the fabric was a stretch woven, I also took generous side seam allowances, more 6/8″ than 5/8″. I think that this skirt fits me better than the last one, and certainly wore well during the course of the day (despite the wrinkles in the photo below, taken at the end of the day).
I lengthened the skirt by around three inches. I rather like it this length! Maybe I will make another one in a winter weight fabric later in the year.
