It’s another Raspberry Beret (Ravelry link). I think that this is number 8.
The yarn is Moda Vera Harmony, which is 50/50 wool/acrylic. As is often the case with variegated yarns, I loved the way it looked in the ball.
Stella was with me when I was shopping for this yarn, so I didn’t really pay much attention to how long the repeats were. As it turns out, not very long at all. When crocheted up (it may have looked quite different knitted) it looks like girly camouflage to me. So I crocheted up another Raspberry Beret (yes, number 9) but left out rows 11-13 to make it Clare-sized.
I still had a little yarn left over, so Clare asked for a pom-pom to go in the middle. We’re both happy with the finished look!
If you’re wanting to make a Raspberry Beret from this yarn, you need two balls – you’ll have a little left over for your pom-pom!
And in sewing planning news, the latest issue of Ottobre Woman arrived in the mailbox last week. Just look at this pattern!
I see more bathers in my future!
