Clare’s birthday is less than a week away – she’s almost 8!  I made her an Ooshka to go on her bed.  They’re a cross between a softie and a cushion, I think.

It goes nicely with the one I made for Stella’s last birthday!

These are a lovely way to combine left-over stash fabrics, and although I know that many people are heartily sick of the babushka trend, my girls really like them. Well, Clare hasn’t received hers yet, but I know that she likes Stella’s!

We’re off to the mountains today for the rest of the week with friends who also have young kids – it will be six adults and eight kids (with Stella the youngest) so all should have a ball!  We haven’t had a holiday away – other than to visit my parents – for a long time, so we’re all looking forward to it immensely.  I’ll be hooking furiously while I’m away – always have to love a car trip to help along my latest crochet project – I’ve almost finished a cardigan for me, me, me!
