Kwik Sew 3775
When I first chanced upon Kwik Sew 3775 I was immediately reminded of the birthday party dress by Oliver + S. But I could snap up a copy of the Kwik Sew pattern immediately on a half price sale – so I did!
I made this in size 2 but with size 3 length for Stella. It’s such a pretty and cool little dress! I like the details – the decorative band and buttons on the front, the contrast fabric at the hem, the pleated square neckline, and the little button closing at the back.
The fabrics are very soft and light. The main floral is by Lecien – it’s a quilting fabric, but is the weight and threadcount of a lawn. I bought it on clearance at Darn Cheap Fabrics a couple of years ago. The contrast is one of Anna Maria Horner’s Little Folks voiles – I used it for the neckline and armhole facings as well.
I highly reccommend this pattern if you’re after a simple cool dress that has enough detail to make it that little bit special.
Both the model and the dress are gorgeous!
This would be the perfect style for our two young granddaughters.
Thanks!
I’m going to keep my eye out for this one. Very cute, just like the model
Delightful! A lovely combination of prints.
What a gorgeous pattern.. might have to keep an eye out for this one.
I really like that! Where did you buy the pattern?
Thanks for pointing out this gorgeous pattern – I’ll have to grab one for myself! I mean, for my daughter.
Well, you already know i love the dress, but that last photo is just GORGEOUS!
It’s really sweet!!! Stella looks great!
