Off sewing I will go
You know where I’ve been. Sewjourn. Bloody marvellous.
Actually it’s a bit funny that I always show a picture of the house because we barely spend any time in it when we’re there – almost every waking hour is in the studio! It was my third trip there with most of my usual sewing buddies and we’ve all relaxed into a mighty fine rythym. We sew, sew, sew, quilt, quilt, quilt, crochet, crochet, crochet, and chat, chat, chat. Punctuated by the occasional lovely meal and drink and many bursts of laughter. We create without competitiveness, inspire one another, support one another, and share with one another. I love these women.
Rachel, me, Karen, Catherine, Annie and Nikki. Blogless Megan had to leave early so missed out on getting into our group photo, taken by blogless Kerry who popped in for a cuppa. And Kathryn and Jodie, we did miss you!
You know, I have only met some of these women a few times, yet our shared love of sewing and making has drawn us all together in a way that I would never have anticipated. Nikki has written a lovely blog post about our weekend here. Thanks again to Jan for creating a place where we can all relax and fully embrace a side of ourselves that is often put on the back burner.
And were you wondering how much I made? Enough to keep this blog going for a couple of weeks at least! Stay tuned!
What a great weekend we had – thanks Lara

So glad you had a wonderful time! What a wonderful way to create and recharge your creative batteries!
I am so jealous. How marvelous to be able to get away with similarly minded people and sew etc.
