It’s Spring in Melbourne! And apparently that means a top temperature of 15 degrees with rain and possibly hail. Lovely for a Spring wedding! So what am I wearing to the wedding? I must have known something when I made a long-sleeved dress.
How could I not use this fabric when so many of you had voted for it! I’m going with Michelle’s suggestion of red accessories, and have a red necklace, red bracelet, red earrings, and a newly crocheted red shawl to go with it (if I owned red shoes I’d wear them too but I have some really comfortable silver ones that will be a more economical option).
I’ll made sure that I wear nice smoothing underwear and keep on sucking that gut in!
So hopefully I’ll scrub up okay for a 42-year-old aunt. I’ll post a photo of me dressed up and made up with hair done once the wedding is all over (and once I have a computer that works etc)! We’re looking forward to a mighty fine time with extended family. Leah (our niece) is the oldest of my girls’ cousins – Stella is the youngest. They’re the bookends amongst the cousins – there is Leah, then eight boys, then finally my two girls. I’m sure that it will be a beautiful wedding despite the weather. They are a delightful couple who are clearly very much in love and are very well suited.
Oh, the pattern? New Look 6802, and the fabric is a stretch something from Spotlight.
