When I glance at the creative space that is around my chair I see lots of bags full of projects in waiting.
There are crochet projects of different sizes. A shawl, a bag, a cardigan, a blanket, and my crochet tool bag. There is a skirt still waiting to be hand-hemmed (maybe this evening at Northern Craft Bonanza). There are not enough hours in the month to finish all that I have started, yet I continue to begin new projects.
Have you read this post by Sooz yet? She has encapsulated everything that I love and feel about my craft weekends away in her eloquent prose. Sooz thinks deeply, analyses critically, and writes superbly. And boy, can she sew!
Between the cleverness of people like Sooz and Kirsty (check out that vest!) and Nikki I often feel a little overawed and overwhelmed. I wonder why I am blogging when there is such top-notch talent around. Then I remember why I started, and what it’s really all about for me. It’s just show and tell. It’s sharing what I make. My mum and my cousin and non-blogging friends read this blog to keep up with what’s happening in my craft life. It’s a personal record of making. It’s all about my creative space.
What is happening in your creative space? Go here to see what others are up to – if you haven’t already!
And here’s a gratuitous shot of my kids – because when it all comes down to it, they are the biggest creations I have ever begun!
