S.I.T.
You know that an event has been brilliant when it takes two days to recover enough to blog about it! Sew It Together 2010 was an absolutely wonderful event, and I cannot thank Sheridan, the “head girl” and her trusty sidekick Donna enough for organising it all. Thanks also to the generous sponsors who not only contributed to our lovely goodie bags but made sure that everyone received a prize on the day (a Spotlight voucher for me, yay!)
I squeezed in a little shopping at Clegs and Tessuti on the day as well – now those fabric shelves are completely overflowing!
As Cass says, this photo really sums it up. See all those crafting and sewing supplies on the table? See what everyone is doing? Sixty women, old friends and new, friends who hadn’t met before and friends who had, sewing, knitting, crocheting, tracing, embroidering, cutting, and chatting up a storm!
You can find photos of the weekend here (with more being added each day as more of us surface) and here are some more detailed round-ups of the weekend from Nikki, Andi, Jodie, Cam and Gypsy, just to name a few.
Just wonderful. Sheridan should be feeling very proud of herself. See you in Sydney in 2011!
Lara, it was nice to meet you and have a chat!
Wow! You had a crafty weekend too! I hope you had as good a time as I did. Isn’t it fun to meet other likeminded women?!
Great post Lara, love the pic! Wasn’t it SEW much fun, it was great to catch up with you. See you at NCB soon I hope!
Lara, couldn’t find your email- your default is ‘no reply’ anyway here’s the email I sent!
Hey Lara,
Have the best fun at Sewjourn.
Scraps at least 2 inch square, I reckon- they are just so I can start with a good variety for applique.
Love to share a coffee or something in shepp- I would’ve been interested in doing Kaths machine quilting course with you- think of me if you do something like that again.
That photo is priceless.
Really tells the story of the day.
🙂
I know what you mean, I’m still exhausted and haven’t blogged (hopefully I have by the time you read this!!) Great to finally meet you Lara 🙂
