Diagonal squares
Another addition to the colourful crocheted cushion pile amassing on the sewing room couch – diagonal squares.
Well, it will be a cushion once it has a back and stuffing! Yarn primarily 8ply basic (100% wool) from Spotlight. Pattern from the July 09 edition of Hip to Hook, available from Sarah London here. Time needed – a school council meeting, an evening at book group, a night at the Northern Craft Bonanza and assorted stolen fifteen minute crocheting opportunities.
I made it a little larger than the pattern. Look at all those ends that need to be woven in…
And guess what? After the moaning and groaning of my last post I tossed the name tag back into cold water to soak for a day or two – and the red dye seems to have dispersed! I’m still waiting for it to dry properly then I’ll examine it more closely to see if it’s still swap-worthy or whether I need to make it again. Thanks so much for your sympathy and suggestions on what might help. I know that you all shared my pain!
Wow!! Love it!
I love this! The colours are great!
Amazing Lara!! That looks tricky! Now you need a good movie to sit and watch whilst you weave the ends in. 🙂
the crochet looks brilliant finished and i’m glad to hear you’ve managed to sort out the tag disaster … seems i’m not alone in things going askew.
Sweet! That is one awesome cushion cover.
Can’t you just tuck the ends inside the pillow when you attach it to the back? Lazy, but it might work. It’s what I’d do. 🙂
I just found this in ‘google images’ for a crochet search I did- I love it!
