New Look 6690 for Stella again
Now this is what I called a tried and true pattern! You can see earlier versions here and here and even here. And I suspect that it is going to get another whirl to make Christmas presents for my cousin’s daughter. This is View D/E, made in a size 1 for my skinny little Stella (who is almost two and a half years old but has no fat on her whatsoever).
The fabric is yet more of the $2 per metre bargain cotton from Spotlight you’ve seen before here, with the facing in a superb Kaffe Fassett print that matched perfectly.
And the most exciting part? Stella wore it today and I even managed to snap a quick photo.
Perfect for today’s very hot weather!
Oh, we’re big fans of 6690 here! We’ve progressed through 3 sizes with it.
I love the fabrics you’ve used here. Great colours!
Love the little dresses Lara!
Love the dress. I was checking that fabric out at Spotlight earlier today, but decided against purcasing some. You’ve inspired me to go back! I love the tie shoulders – just gorgeos.
Loving that fabric Lara, and I wish I could wear a dress like that and look as cute as Stella!
Love Love Love that fabric – looks great!
You make your daughters the cutest clothes! It makes me long for the days when my overly talkative grown daughters were that age and I sewed for them too! This is just another lovely dress in the series of lovely dresses you’ve sewn!
Now, that is exactly what I need – it looks great, and cool.
Sorry to ask here, but I wasn’t sure where else! In your crochet roll do you know what the fabrics were? It’s awesome by the way, and so is everything I’ve seen so far on your blog!
no way- $2 a metre? Great find! the dress looks great
The dress, and the model, are wonderful. Isn’t it great being able to make clothese for your little ones? My eldest is 5 but quite tall so anything bought that fits in the length just falls of her little waist! x
I adore that combination of fabrics!
