My creative space
About time that I played along with Kirsty’s My creative space. There is plenty in mine this week!
Check out those piles of fabric! I am trying to get lots of clothes cut out for the girls. Cutting out is half the work of making anything. The fabrics laid out on the table are options for dresses for Stella – the patterns to go with them are on the right. The fabrics in the pile at the back of the table have patterns allocated to them already. Some of them are for Clare and some are for Stella. At the back of the photo you can see some of the blocks that have already arrived back from the Around the Block quilting bee.
And when you swivel around 180 degrees you see this.
Pattern pieces, fabric and interfacing for a pattern I’m testing; the iron all set up as usual, patiently waiting for me to do the pile of ironing that’s on the couch there; crocheted cushion fronts requiring backs; basted quilt all ready for quilting; some clothes that need de-pilling.
Pop on over here to visit some more creative spaces.
Your space looks wonderful Lara. I love that quilt hanging casually under the grannies. Has that been exhibited yet…have I missed it? Surely not! It’s the mod…yes? Anyway…I love it.
With so many great projects and fabrics and patterns and cool things to do, I certinaly hope that the de-pilling is on the bottom of your To Do list Lara!
I’m impressed at how organised everything is. I think I could learn some lessons from you!
Wow – lots on, but you have a plan! Love the navy fabrics on your pile – will be lovely drsses.
So organised! Looks inviting – I want to jump into that photo and play with those fabrics. You can keep the de-pilling to yourself…
I love the folded fabric… and the hanging quilts and rugs… and just the fact that you are able to keep the iron up and ready to go, that’s so great. I’m moving in!
I see lots of fun sewing ahead for you!
Oh you’re so organised Lara!
Lovely pile of fabric for Stella’s dresses, I think the sunny days have us all reaching for the summery patterns.
Looking forward to seeing the results, no pressure though!
What a GREAT creative space!
I could just dive into those piles of fabrics… lovely! Looks like you’re going tohave a major sew-fest soon with kiddy clothes. I have to do the same soon. Perhaps we should organise a sewing-bee sort of catch up…?
Ohhh, very envious of your pile of patterns and fabric for the girls clothing. Beautiful Lara!
