Clock making workshop

School holidays are excellent.  I really enjoy the change of routine – and so do the kids.  On Monday Clare and I had a “Mummy day” while Stella was at childcare and I took a day off work.  We went to the Mr Men and Little Miss concert in the morning (excruciating for me – give me a Play School or Justine Clarke concert any day), out for lunch, then to a clock making workshop run by The Paint Pot People.

Clock workshop A by you.

Clare and her friend both selected star shaped clock faces with mermaids stencilled on.  Very girly, and very typical.  Oh, for a dragon or even a unicorn!  Then they set to work with paints.

After the numbers were firmly attached the girls embellished their clocks further with glitter, before the clock hands and mechanism were set in place.

Nice work Clare!  The clock is now proudly displayed on her bedroom wall.
