This one is especially for the girls at Melbourne Brown Owls. After watching me attempt to crochet a doily in size 20 thread (more on that later) I promised them that soon I would attempt another crochet icon – one of these.

Do you know how many of those I saw sitting on the back of a toilet stool when I was a kid, they were in a rainbow of colors–pastel colors that is! Oh what a quirky memory thanks for sharing!

I was really trying to keep these memories in the back of my head – ARGHHHH! – I am going to have nightmares now – the death of crochet came by the way of toilet and bed dolls – sorry Grandma!!
