Lacking original thought
After giggling at Sheridan’s post about what google searches led people to her blog I thought I’d completely steal her idea and do the same. Some of my blog stats for your amusement:
Top posts ever are “baby tag blanket”, “Cup day skirt tutorial” and “laptop sleeve” – all posts which have been mentioned on other blogs such as Sew, Mama, Sew!. There has been a lot of interest during the past week in the tea cosy I crocheted, all coming from a French blog I cannot understand. How do these things get picked up in the first place? Oh yes, google searches …
Guess what? The top google search that leads people here is “thornberry”. Wow! Followed by “japanese bag” (I made a bag from a Japanese pattern book a very long time ago) and “tag blanket”. Maybe the prosaic titles I use for my blog posts don’t lead more unusual search requests to me. Although I do get a fair number coming here looking for diaper patterns, beautiful babies, and barbie townhouse.
That wasn’t very amusing after all. Perhaps you have more interesting blog stats to share?
Oh! I am very jealous that you get “beautiful babies”.
Deserved, of course, but envious nonetheless.
So Lara, how do you find out what google searches are landing on your blog? I’m totally not clued into that sort of stuff but it would be fun to find out…
I have looked at mine before and one of the most intriguing is a forum in Hungary! I havent a clue what they are talking about but I get massive hits constant from there. Anybody know Hungarian? A very interesting topic!
I love making bags but would you believe my top search is for what to do with left over pancakes. There must be a great need out there for relief from an over burden of pancakes. Haha.
