Clever crafters
We have been lucky enough to have exquisite work by other crafters enter our house lately. First there was this gorgeous collage by Cathy (aka Tinniegirl) which was a gift to me from me for no reason other than I love it:
Then there were these beautiful hair elastic & clip holders by Kathryn, which I knew my girls would adore:
The one on the right has already been filled up with all Clare’s school elastics and clips – she is thrilled with it. Stella loved hers so much she thought it was a top and continually tried to put it on…
And lastly, for Stella’s 2nd birthday we had this very special music box handmade by super clever Kirsty:
It is just the most perfect gift! Around the bottom it says “from little things, big things grow”. There is room inside to keep something special:
When wound the music box plays “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy”. Just right for our little Stella. Something that she can keep forever and treasure. Thank you so much Kirsty – we love it!
Lovely, lovely Thornberry family – Thank YOU! You’re very special.
I’m particularly taken with the little hairclip holders. I think my girls would love those.

What fantastic and amazingly clever gifts! Especially the music box. So personal – love it.
Wow Lara – what a lucky girl you are – I love the little ballerina bags for the hair clips – fantastic idea – Ella’s are strewn all around the house. She turns 4 on Sunday so I imagine there may be more to add to the collection.
They’re all so beautiful Lara. Isn’t it nice to buy a present from me to me…hee hee hee.
I love way the Kirsty has printed Stella’s name on the tree
awwww…
so many sweet things!!
the hair clip bags look like old fashioned clothes pin holders.
What lovely items! And all handmade! Almost as adorable as all your crafty projects!
Wow, that music box is just amazing Lara. I love it too! I shall have to pop over and visit Kirsty! Glad the girls like their “tidies”.
Oh I’m so glad you like it. The music box is lovely too.
