Pussycat bag
Stella turns 2 years old this week. I have developed a bit of a tradition where I make the girls a dress for their birthday and one for Christmas (yes, I make them dresses at other times too). I haven’t made a brand new dress (less than three weeks old) for Stella this birthday, but I have made her this little bag.
The pattern is The Owl and the Pussycat by Melly & Me, and the fabrics are Heather Bailey Freshcut with a little bit of Anna Maria Horner’s Chocolate Lollipop. I machine appliqued and embroidered the face rather than doing it by hand or using buttons for eyes. I love it – I hope that Stella will too!
The owl and pussycat bags are one of my favourite Melly and Me patterns – so whimsical!
Love it, I know she will too
So cute Lara! That is one of my favorite patterns too and perfect for little girls party gifts. I’m sure Stella will love it.
Very cute, of course she’ll love it. LOL, you might have a jealous sister on your hands as well.
it’s so cute! Stella is a lucky girl!
That’s so cute! I’m sure she will absolute adore it.
My Mum used to make me a new dress for Christmas too – and sometimes my birthday. That bag is super cute – she’ll love it!
Gorgeous – just gorgeous!
This is lovely Lara – great colours.
I am sure Stella will love it too. I made the owl and the pussycat bags for my two ‘big’ girls and filled them with goodies when their baby sister arrived, they cart them around everywhere!
What a pretty little bag! Any little girl would love to walk around with one of these.
That is just so adorable! What a great idea.
