Nubby brim cloche
You can all guess what I did while all that farming activity was taking place, can’t you? I crocheted! Here’s the Nubby brim cloche (Ravelry link).
The yarn is Filatura Di Crosa Super Soft. Boy is it thick! I used a 10mm hook, which was the thickest hook I had, and that was a bit of a struggle. I had to modify the pattern a little to account for the thickness of the yarn, but it still worked out quite well. So well in fact, that although I made it to fit me, Clare has snaffled it.
I’m not sure that she’ll ever give it back!
I wouldn’t give it back either 😀
I agree with Tracy – I wouldn’t give it back either. What lovely warm colours. (Gosh, I can’t imagine using a 10mm hook … that sounds gi-normous!)
it looks fantastic! and nice and warm
so cute! I don’t blame Clare for snaffling it – she looks adorable in it!
She looks so cute, happy that she’s nicked mom’s hat.
Yep! I’d be stealing that hat too. Love it!
I just lurk here, but I wanted to tell you that first off, your daughter is the most adorable little thing I have ever seen. (this from a mother of five. My children would be horrorfied to know that she beats them out!) Her glasses are so darling. Also, I came across your blog quite by accident and am totally addicted to it. I LOVE your work. LOVE it. I use it as my inspiration when I am not feeling my sewing/ knitting/ crocheting mojo. It’s also really nice to see someone who blogs about crochet and does NICE things with it. Some of the crochet blogs I have seen are similar to your post about Vintage Crochet and how we should remember the patterns that give crochet a bad name. I just keep thinking to myself ” just because you can doesn’t mean you should”. Thanks!
perfect! Keira loves to take everything and all mail is Keira mail in this house!
it suits her! well done
Corrie:)
