Chemisette handbag
A month or so again I tested the pattern for Craftapple’s lovely Chemisette Handbag. And now the pattern has been released!
It’s a lovely pattern, easy and fast to assemble, with pretty gathered/pleated detail across the front. Linda generously sent me the fabric in the above photo as a thank-you; isn’t it gorgeous! Clare is trying to lay claim to it, but she’s not going to succeed! Here is my version of the bag:
The fabric is from the Zazu line by Tina Givens for Westminster Rowan fabrics (and I bet that Nikki has the same fabric in a different colourway – this happens to us constantly!) And here’s the inside:
There’s a magnetic strap closure, two interior pockets, topstitched handles, and interfacing (and some fusible wadding) throughout for structure. I really enjoyed making this bag, and I’ll definitely be making more. Thanks so much to Linda for being such a terrific person to test sew for and for such a nice bag pattern!
What a lovely bag – thankyou for sharing!
