June 2008 CAL squares
They’re finished – and it’s not quite the end of June! In Bendigo Woollen Mills 8 ply Cotton in Fennel:
and in Heather:
The pattern is Lacy Granny. Simple and effective – although don’t look too closely at the Fennel one; it’s not quite perfect.
Now just to do that last multicoloured one and sew together the little doll blanket, so I can get rid of that awful acrylic yarn and never have to crochet with it again.
They’re both very pretty….I love the subtle colours and the pattern is exquisite!
I think it’s my favourite pattern so far – so dainty and pretty!
Love the pattern and colours. Makes me want to crochet again – something I haven’t done in years!
That yarn looks lovely. I love cotton, and the colours are beautiful.
I love this pattern! I really need to learn how to crochet lol. Is it faster than knitting? I have NEARLY finished a knitted facecloth and it has taken me months (but then, it was a very on and off job with biiig knitting breaks inbetween 😉 )
I’m looking forward to seeing these all sewn together. I think they will look brilliant!
Those are so beautiful like the colours of a bluebell wood in May. I didn’t think much about the content of yarn for crafts until recently being a colour orientated sort of person, but after making that set of apples in pure hand dyed wool, I want more! The trouble is I have a lot of acrylic based yarns to work through before I have enough space. Perhaps a knitted patchwork in garter stitch? Or I could put on my big girl knickers and have another bash at crochet. Do you know of a twit proof site with instructions for basic squares?
Those grannies are gorgeous. I love the pattern and the colors.
