Belinda’s Bag
Happy extremely belated 40th Birthday Belinda! Here is your bag, which I’ll actually give to you at brunch this weekend.
It’s made in Amy Butler “Nigella” fabric from Z&S Fabrics, following Ric-Rac’s excellent tutorial! Here are the detail shots. First, the inside zippered pocket:
The other side has a patch pocket:
And I love Jodie’s method of attaching the strap. I made fabric-covered buttons for it.
I included a magnetic snap (I know, you’ve already figured that out from the photos) but somehow forgot to include a key fob. Too late now!
Lara – excellent job – I love the handles as well !! – and that fabric is just fab!
The bag looks beautiful Lara.
Awesome job Lara, you’ll notice I didn’t have a zipper in mine.
The choice of fabric makes it look so elegant. I hope your giftee like it!
Oh wow, it’s gorgeous!
Your friend is one lucky gal and she’s going to be absolutely thrilled, I know I would be.
A simple bag made beautifully!! Good quality fabric and interfacing and EXCELLENT workmanship make a fine team!!
You’re dedicated, doing exposed zippers in the lining of all your bags – and really hiding your light under the proverbial. To be appreciated as it ought, an exposed zip pocket needs to be on the OUTSIDE of the bag in an obvious position …with a sign pointing to it saying “I hope you realise how SKILLED you have to be to get one of THESE BABIES right”…. You’re a clever girl!
oh wow you bag came out super cute!!! Love the way you did the fabric covered button on the side. Great job!
Nikki’s comments too funny, Beautiful bag. Top notch workmanship alway, I think that is what I enjoy about your blog Thornberry. PS BTW how did you pick your name? Just wondering
This bag is gorgeous! You finish things off so beautifully. Great choice of fabric too.
Awesome work. Those fabrics are gorgeous too 🙂
Got to love Amy Butler – I’ve just finished a quilt in her range and I’m a little obsessed to it was great to see your beautiful bag.
