This is … Sunday lunch
My wonderful mother is 70 years old today (Happy Birthday Mum) so we all went out to the restaurant at the Studley Park Boathouse for Sunday lunch!
Entree – confit duck and shitake mushroom tortelone with cucumber tagliatelle (extremely yummy) – washed down with a glass of Moet
Main – so delicious that I’d eaten it before I remembered to take a photo – new season lamb rump on summer bean pinenut cassoulet with a light rosemary infused jus and mint oil
Dessert – absolutely divine white chocolate creme brulee
And decadent nibbles with coffee.
Very different from the usual Sunday lunch of toasted cheese and ham sandwiches.
Very different from cold potato and tomato, and smoked ham, like we had here today!
Oh to have a lunch like yours every day!!
Happy birthday to Mrs Thornberry Snr!
My mouth is watering… how delicious! What a lovely way to celebrate a birthday.
Looks delicious lara
I think I must be a cheap date. As soon as I read about the cheese and ham toasties my mouth watered. Guess what we’ll have for supper? Beautiful pics by the way. They really caught the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Yummo!!
That looks absolutely divine!!!!
Oh My! What deliciousness! You have to win hands down for the fanciest lunch! Happy birthday to you mum.
Oh yum.. you are making me hungry.. it’s only 8.23am.. but a glass of moet sounds perfect.. and what a lovely place to sit and listen to the birds and watch Ratty and Toad row down the Yarra! Happy Day to your Mum! xx
