This is … my collection
When I was a child my cousin gave me a set of nesting dolls she’d bought in India. When I was in Russia I bought a few more sets.
That’s all I have in this collection – a small collection, but one where each piece has meaning to me.
Here’s my REAL collection:
You guessed it! My fabric collection, my sewing magazine collection, and let’s not forget – my pattern collection.
DROOL!!!! It looks AWESOME!!!
Cute little dolls, too!
With friendship,
Lisa
You are so well organised! My sewing stuff shares a room with my daughter and she’s always messing around with it. I bought buttons for a skirt the other day and not only have we misplaced the buttons, the skirt is mising too! Bet you don’t lose buttons 😉
Love that super-organised collection. Are the patterns in drawers according to type/ size?
You’re right Jodie – the patterns are organised into drawers mostly depending on type (and generally by size from smallest to largest within each type). Sometimes also sorted by pattern company. The top drawer are patterns for me that are waiting to be used (and my vintage patterns), the next drawer are children’s patterns and bag/homewares patterns, and the bottom drawer has patterns I’ve already made for myself. Then there is another filing cabinet with patterns for men’s clothes and for patterns I’m unlikely to ever use again but can’t quite bear to get rid of. Am I a little bit anal?
Oooh, I could look at fabric collections all day long!!! I’ve just nominated you for the ‘You Make My Day’ award on my blog. I know you probably have no idea who I am, I only found your blog a little while ago and I think it’s fantastic and very inspiring.
Oh! I just want to come round & raid your pattern collection-wow!
Oh my, what a bunch of fabrics! I’m an itsybitsy jealous overhere!
Oh boy, I’m in awe. I think I have just seen my dream cupboard….although I could never keep my things so neat and organised, even if I did have that set-up. Your super-organised drawers remind me of a pattern library….my poor pattens, they just sit in a cardboard box looking very sad indeed. Thank-you for the inspiration!
Oh, I love your collection. I also love your display shelf. I really need to get my husband to make me one now that I am seeing everyone else’s.
Happy sunday
Kyla
OOhh i love how you have organised your sewing patterns! It looks fabulous.
wow, can I come and play! looks amazing, so neat (someone after my own heart)
thanks for sharing
*drool* what a great storage space you have!
And I love your nesting dolls. One of my favorite things, too.
You are sooo well organized, I am totally impressed. It must be relatively easy to work in such a serene atmosphere. You inspire me.
Love how organised your cupboards are. A girl after my own heart!
OMG – I’ve just seen this image of your extremely organised and gorgeous cupboard!!
I spent yesterday pulling stuff out of mine, and really want to put some shelving and drawers in it just like yours – were they one you put in yourself? If so, where did you get this kit? (Perfect color / finish!) Ta.
you are sooo organised.. wish I had all that space (just an excuse to be messy).. loved your blog
