Not much happening
Not much happening here on the crafting front – well, not that I can show you! With Christmas coming up ridiculously soon I am making a start on presents – I hope to give as many home-made pressies as I can this year rather than shop-bought. But time is limited, so I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself – I’ll do what I can, and then buy the rest. Anyway, too many of the recipients read my blog – so it may be a little sparse until after the gifts have been given! I am also working on birthday presents. Many of my contemporaries have started turning 40 recently, and I like to give something personal for “major” birthdays. I have a few things cut out, a few things prepared for, and nothing complete. Maybe this weekend.
Hi There,
I came across your blog via Sew,Mama,Sew. I too am a local Melbournian. I noticed in a previous post you purchased some Joel Dewberry Fabric from the internet. I bought some the other day from a local shop and paid @25 metre. Im just wondering how you find the cost comparison (importing v buying locally). Im fairly new to sewing but enjoying the gorgeous fabrics that seem to be coming our from the US.
Thanks

ps Great blog btw.
Hi lara, you are lucky if your family appreciate home-made gifts. I always get those weird looks when i suggest we have a handmade or (god forbid) recycled Christmas. My family is chock full of plastic loving consumers i am afraid !
