I’ve finished it – the Boteh Scarf, from Interweave Crochet.
I used Bamboozle yarn from Lincraft, which is a bamboo and cotton blend. Once I got used to using it instead of wool, I rather enjoyed it. There are fifteen motifs in this scarf rather than the sixteen in the pattern – I’m a short person!
It has rather nice drape, and has come up well after blocking (which I do with a steam iron – which is not at all what any of the books say to do). I’m planning on doing a couple more as Christmas gifts. If you make this scarf, remember to check the online errata, as there is an error in the pattern.
I was excited to receive this pattern in the mail today – I won it from Ballarat Patchwork via their blog Scrap Bag.
It was very exciting to win something – especially a bag pattern, and it’s my first by Amy Butler. It seems quite unusual though – a bag with a side zipper? Anyway, I’ll give it a go!
