Towelling Romper
This towelling romper is made from Simplicity 5115, the same pattern as the romper-dress I posted about earlier.
Wow, isn’t that fabric wild! It comes from my friend’s mother’s stash, which I very gratefully received when she moved into a retirement village. The colours and pattern are so bad that they’re really good. Clare already has a summer dress in this and I made Oliver a pair of shorts a little while ago, so now Stella will match! And there’s still a wee bit of fabric left.
Lara, that fabric is fantastic.
I love the way you turn things on their head by your fabric choice-you have such an eye for design.
The question is whether you will have Clare and Stella and Oliver in the matching outfits all together like the Von Traps in Sound of Music!!
Oh YES! They’d be SO Von Trap all together – I’ll have to arrange it! I’m rolling around in laughter as I type!
Eek! Put them up in a tree and take a picture! Really, honestly, love the fabric! So bold and unique to put your baby in such a bright, not pink, stand outish pattern!!!! Love it! Got enough left for -oh say- a little two year old’s dress…wink wink.
Now you must show a pic of them all together! I’m hearing The Hills are alive…..
I’m so glad I looked up and I’m not the only one that thinks that, lol!!
That romper is SO cute! I have been trying to draft a romper/playsuit pattern myself, but seeing yours I thought I would save some time & buy the pattern. Naturally it is just my luck that it is out of print!!! Back to the drawing board…
