One ticked off the list
The pram rug is complete! It is made entirely from left-over yarn from my mother’s stash, so the colour combinations were decided more by what was available than by what would look good. Despite this they seem to work pretty well together. Similarly, the size of the rug was entirely dictated by the amount of yarn. There’s no more left to do any more squares!
Since this is my first effort at crocheting a rug (or any crocheted item that requires sections to be joined together) I am pretty proud of myself!
Now, what was next on that list?
I must admit….you are making me want to give crocheting another chance!
Must you continue to make me EXTREMELY jealous of your crocheting? That looks great and I am sure will be extra cozy for the baby! I may have to start on that scarf for the third time- you have inspired me (again)!
I am new to the blogging and luckly I stumbeled across yours! I am amazed at the quanity of items you get done, I have real problems with finishing things, I have always wanted to get me some Japanese books/magazines where do you find them online or in a store?

wow…. who would have thought a stash rug would turn out so beautifully… well done

This is so pretty! I am so impressed with anyone who has the patience to crochet. My little sister has tried to teach me several times, to no avail. I just don’t have the patience for it! The color combination is really spectacular. I love that you used different reds that don’t necessarily “match,” but that still look really great together (even if it wasn’t by design!).
Hi lara, Another great project.
I have never even attempted crochet but you do so many great things, I may need to learn.
The colours are great too.
Thanks everyone for your lovely comments! Crochet is not difficult, I promise – I learnt to do it as a child but haven’t done it since until about three months ago! I love its portability and find it very relaxing. In my opinion it is easier than knitting and works up faster! Although maybe I should get into knitting as well . . .
Toni, I got my Japanese craft books from Australian eBay – there are a number of US eBay stores that sell them too – and there is a UK website called kitty-craft that has them. I think that if you do a bit of googling you’ll come across somewhere appropriate!
This is beautiful!
