Seamstress aprons

While waiting for Miss Stella to arrive, I completed a couple of seamstress aprons.  They are from a terrific pattern bought from Craftapple.  I sewed one for Mum (modelled here by hubby):

and one for me:

Both are in Ikea fabric from the stash.  They should come in handy for those little projects that don’t need to keep me at the sewing machine, but where I need to keep my tools nearby.

Beanie bonanza

Here are the beanies!

Hubby’s beanie is in Patons Inca, using the Patons Learn to Crochet pattern book I mentioned in an earlier post.

Miss Clare’s beanie is a variation of a pattern I found on the internet (I’ll update this post with the details later) which uses crossed trebles.

And the rainbow beanie is started off with a pattern I found on the net, but discovered that I wasn’t quite an advanced enough crocheter (is that a real word?) to follow – so it became a basic granny stitch type of beanie.

That’s probably enough beanies for the moment.

Baby finally born

Miss Stella was finally born on Monday night (4th June).  She is gorgeous!

Miss Clare seems quite happy to have a baby sister (after all, that was what she’d ordered).

We’re finally home from hospital – and my computer is back in working order, so watch out for a big blog catch-up (inbetween feeds and sleeps)!
