I’ve been thinking about doing some crochet – there are some beautiful examples out there on the blogs, and I quite like the idea of participating in either the ripple-along or the granny-along. Maybe crochet could be a nice, easy, portable option once I have baby bump. Although I may be desperate to get to my sewing machine and overlocker! I have these two crochet rugs that my Nanna made many years ago.
My friend Michelle loves to snuggle under one of these “Nanna-rugs” whenever she’s over visiting and watching a movie!
Given that both of these are made up of squares, I should probably be thinking of doing a ripple rug. Now that I’ve finally realised that Australian crochet terms are different to American ones, I should be able to convert a pattern effectively! I’ve only done a small amount of crochet in the past, but Mum has given me a great pattern book of instructions, so I figure that I should be okay!
Or am I really just adding this to my ever-increasing mental list of craft projects that is not likely to be started for an ever-increasing length of time?
